Non Stick Frying Pans

When you are buying nonstick frying pan in the market, there are basically 3 things that must come with it and these include the nylon sponge, wooden spatula and of course, owner’s manual telling you how to take care of it. The best thing about this is that, majority of quality pans have an instruction booklet.

Just before you start using your newly bought non stick frying pan, you have to wash it thoroughly in a hot soapy water with a dishcloth or sponge, followed by rinsing in hot water and then, dry it out completely. Next, apply a small amount of cooking oil then wipe off the excess using a paper towel. This makes the pan seasoned and ready for use.

Most of the time, never use heat setting that is above medium because the truth is, delicate foods your frying pan is made for do not require it and at the same time, high heat is a big enemy for delicate nonstick surfaces. Now, nonstick doesn’t mean that you can cook without using oil but, it gives you the advantage that you’ll need to use very little amount of it.

Exclusive use of olive oil is highly recommended which is dispensed from spray container. You must never pour from a bottle as it’ll make you put too much from the pan. Try to improvise a little bit in the event that you can’t find an olive oil spray like for instance, recycling a window cleaner spray bottle.

If you want to be sure that your pan’s nonstick surface will last for a long time, there are some things that you have to be reminded of. To give you a quick example, using plastic, silicon, wood utensils or rubber will be smart. Even though scratches do not affect nonstick properties, there’s still the chance that they might disfigure the surface so be sure that you avoid metal or any type of sharp objects to cook with your nonstick pan.

After each use, make sure to follow it up with a thorough cleaning. What you have to do here is wash it using warm water with some mild detergent but be sure that you are washing it well enough in an effort to remove all oil residue. Say for example that you were not able to remove the oil completely, there is a chance that it will bake into the surface for the next time that it is heated, which will then cause impairment to the nonstick effect it has.
